What motivated me to choose an internship at Clinatec was the opportunity to work again in the field of hardware electronics, as well as my interest in biomedical electronics.

What’s your background? What made you want to join the Clinatec team? and what project are you working on?
In 2017, I started studying electrical engineering at the Federal University of Paraná in Brazil. During my five years of study, I spent two years working on the design of power amplifiers for radio-frequency applications in the microelectronics field, within the Groupe de Conception de Circuits et Systèmes Intégrés (GICS). At the same time, I was an active member of the PET group, holding the position of project manager for analog electronics. During my final year of my Master’s degree, I did an internship at Entran – transformers and electronic equipment, where for ten months I contributed to the development of a milliresistance measurement device.
In 2021, I was selected among the top five out of one hundred and eighty candidates in a national competition promoted by the Brazilian government to study in France on a full scholarship. I joined Polytech INP to study computer science and electronics for embedded systems. My final year specialization was in signal and image processing. During my second year, I also did a four-month internship at SAIREM, specializing in radio-frequency electronics.
I discovered Clinatec’s projects through the company Expleo, among the internship offers for my final year. What motivated me to choose an internship at Clinatec was the opportunity to work again in the field of hardware electronics, as well as my interest in biomedical electronics.
I’m currently working on the BCI project, specifically in the area of remote power supply. My short-term objectives are to refamiliarize myself with the knowledge acquired during my first master’s degree, as the project mobilizes a lot of knowledge already acquired. In the medium term, my aim is to obtain results that could contribute to the development of the project.
The main technical challenge concerns the part on transistor control without a control signal system in the part of a control system. New models and technologies make this possible, but I’ll certainly be spending a lot of time studying to understand how they work and how they can be applied. Clinatec can help me advance my career thanks to the experience and knowledge of the engineers around me here, and I’ll certainly try to make the most of my internship here.
